As a photographer there are just certain items we’re going to have around a lot. Card readers are of course an essential part of every photographer’s digital workflow. Why not have a well-designed card reader on the desk if you have to use one a lot? Particularly since the small version of these SanDisk card readers cost only 20 USD… it’s almost a no-brainer. Good speed and performance, with looks to match.
I have an Iomega external hard drive designed by F.A. Porsche that is also quite lovely. I’m glad that some companies take the time to do things well and don’t gouge us for the polish they put into the products. If I’m going to have something on my desk, I’d rather it looked and functioned well… but that’s just me.
Now if only I can source these guys in Singapore for a reasonable rate

Hey all,
Anyone who knows me knows I love a good “that’s what she said” joke, but this could be stretching things a bit too far. What do you think? Unnecessary iPhone app? Think it’ll inspire a laugh or two?

I’m normally a big fan of Firefox and only use Safari on rare occasions where I need to trash my cache to view a change in a webpage I’m working on.
The new Safari 4 looks like a nice update though. I like the coverflow previews of bookmark pages and the “top site” previews of top internet sites or top visited pages from your history. Don’t know if it’s enough to convert me from Firefox just yet, but I will be giving it a try over the next couple of weeks.
It’s not just a mac download so head over to Apple to check it out for your Mac or PC.

Hey all,
No, I haven’t turned this thing into a foodie blog… but in an effort to increase posts and let you in on more of my daily life I’m going to give you a sneak peak of what I’m doing personally in life and with a not-so-secretive new project under development.

Hey all,
I get this question a lot… or worse I get a smug look from some one’s uncle during the course of a wedding. I’m always asked about my gear and inevitably someone wants to know how many megapixels my camera is. I’d like to say, “it really doesn’t matter, it’s what’s between my ears that makes the pictures best…or at the very least the lenses on front” but I can’t… so I’m usually left to say 12 or 15 (for now
). At this point someone has a cell phone with similar specs and they look at me as if I have inferior gear.
I’ve said this before on the blog. I’d rather have a 4 MP Nikon D2h over a 10 megapixel point and shoot. But these guys explain it better: Gizmodo Explains Megapixels.

Hey all,
Trying to do more content on my blog. Don’t know if this will be of interest to most, but it’s funny to me so I’m putting it up. Occasionally I see funny signs out and about in Asia. Sometimes I find Engrish or just random signs or writing that makes me stop and laugh. Thought I’d take the time to post them for your enjoyment
If you can’t read this one, the upper left upper right drawing on this poster demonstrates that we shouldn’t wet the bathroom floor but go in the urinal. I would have thought that would be obvious, but I haven’t lived in Singapore long so maybe people haven’t quite figured out public restrooms yet (which seems to be the case at the horrendous bathrooms in Ikea)

Hey all,
Last week I mentioned I’d be putting up some past weddings on the site over the coming weeks now that I’m a bit more settled in Singapore. The next wedding I’m putting up is Adam and Megan’s wedding from January 1st of this this year.

Hey all,
Thanks to the post and facebook status yesterday the blog saw a record (well not in time of emergency, strangely had a lot of page views after Santika) of over 100 page views - 114 to be exact. Not too shabby. If that happened every day I’d be averaging 3,000 page views per month. I can only hope. › Continue reading
