This site is the blog for Paul Cypert Photography
I’m Paul. I live in Southeast Asia, hail from the state of Texas, and photograph whatever, wherever I can. I studied film photography as it was dying off at the College of Santa Fe. I made the switch to digital a few years later and furthered my studies in design/graphics at Bangkok University.
I photograph people. I like to interact with my subjects, get to know them, spend time with them. I also like food photography… but that’s a different kind of interaction.
I love photographing weddings and portraits in Thailand, Singapore, and the US. I contribute other styles to LookEast Magazine, Guru, and Bangkok 101, among others. I’ve worked for some interesting people and am always looking to push my boundaries.
I’m pretty laid back… except when it comes to my photography. I like to enjoy myself while shooting, but take the relationship and images very seriously. There’s some things I refuse to shoot and some people who aren’t a good fit for my style… but generally I can work with most people. If I don’t think I’m the right fit for your needs I’ll happily refer you to someone who is.
