Hey all,
I had just returned from a shoot yesterday and had my camera out to take the card out to put the pics on my hard drive. I looked over at the couch and saw my cat napping away. The pose was funny so I started taking some pictures. I realized I could pull back just a bit and get the TV in the frame as well.
I work with the TV on in the background. Normally at 5:30 it’s Simpsons, then again at 6:00… on Wednesdays and Thursdays I’m subjected to American Idol…normally I’m lost in editing/writing/whatever and don’t really take much notice. But the time this guy sang the horrible version of Ring of Fire I took notice. Decided to make a little commentary picture and upload it to ICanHasCheezeburger.

Hey all,
I know lately it’s been a lot of tech posts and gear stuff. There’s a reason. I’ve started working for some magazine in Singapore. Unfortunately I can’t post anything from the shoots till the stories run. So be patient and hopefully I get a release or can post some links to the magazine once my work starts appearing. Until then tide yourselves over with my co-founded new project: Accidental Epicurean.

I used to own a huge Maurice Sendak illustration book. Loved that thing. Not just Where the Wild Things Are, but all of his stuff. In college I was in to puppets and wanted to do some adaptations of his stuff. Glad to see Spike Jonez is taking it to the next level. I don’t even care what the script or plot is, so far the photography of this movie is so beautiful I could sit there for 2 hours just watching it

Most of you know that I’m really wanting to move back into video. Quality is getting crazy good and so are the cameras offering video features. I’m still a bit confused by all the modular systems of the Red Camera, but I love what they’re trying to do…. so much so that I rode an Oakley board in Bali in support of James Jannard founder of Oakley and Red Cameras. I’m very interested to see how these systems will develop and change the industry.

Wanted to share this volcano shot I captured in Ubud. It had been raining during our drive up from seafood near Kuta. The clouds parted for a moment and gave us a great view of the main volcano on the island. A really nice site, glad I was able to capture it… from the passenger seat of the cab

Hey all,
Since the kitty pictures seemed to strike a chord with folks I thought I’d throw up a couple monkey pictures from Monkey Forrest in Ubud, Indonesia. They might seem cute at first but look through till the end… › Continue reading

Hey all,
Got a chance to go around with DJ Ernie and fiance Bill on Tuesday of my Bali trip. Went to “Ground Zero” or the location of the Bali bombings from 2001. Saw the memorial, wreckage from one of the blasts, and one location that was rebuilt.
Pics after the jump. › Continue reading
