Throwing up a few preview images for the Hua Hin area Wedding of Alicia and Jamie. They were married on Valentine’s Day this year in one of the largest beach weddings I’ve photographed in a long time. Guests flew in to Thailand from Hong Kong, Australia, the UK, and even the US!
It was a beautiful Thailand destination wedding with only one drawback - those horrible kite surfers or whatever they’re called flying past in the background during the ceremony and the formal shoot, see above ).
More pictures to come on the main site soon, but enjoy some more pics after the jump. › Continue reading
Last week I mentioned I’d be putting up some past weddings on the site over the coming weeks now that I’m a bit more settled in Singapore. The next wedding I’m putting up is Adam and Megan’s wedding from January 1st of this this year.
I’m in Hua Hin now resting up for the Jamie and Alicia Price wedding. Saw the resort and met the bride finally today. Should be a great wedding - the weather has been fantastic, there’s over 60 guests, and the location has lots of lovely areas for photos. This will be my first Hua Hin area Wedding, which is good and bad. Good to shoot somewhere new and discover new locations, bad because the sunset won’t be over the water (it’s a sunrise location as it’s the Gulf of Thailand).
Now that I finally have all of our shipments from Bangkok here in Singapore and we’re finally settled I can finally start getting up some of the wedding photographs I shot just before leaving Thailand.
Back in Bangkok and up early, 5:15 AM, to shoot another wedding. This one will take place at a lush Thai home at the end of Ekkamai. The reception will be at The Oriental Hotel and should be lovely.
I’d say wedding videos have come a long way. Normally I can’t stand working with videographers… to the point where I once was offering the service myself. This video is really something special though. It makes me think….
Part of me would really like to return to video and part of me wants to focus on being best photographer I can be. I get asked almost every wedding if I offer services, so maybe I should. What do you think?
Hey all,
Put another sample gallery up on the main site.
Sample Wedding 5 is a gallery featuring wedding pictures I took at The Chedi, Surin Beach, Phuket, Thailand. This was a big wedding that pulled out all the stops. It was a western style wedding, but the venue coordinated some Thai elements to add some flavor to the wedding.
Right after the wedding the couple took a ride around the beach on an elephant; accompanied by Thai dancers. Then, after the reception, the couple released Loy Kratong style lanterns over the moonlit ocean. Finally the group was treated to a fireworks display. Usually weddings in Thailand have one of these elements, rarely do they use all three.
Take a look at the pictures in Sample Wedding 5 on the main site.
Sifting through my older weddings trying to get my website back to where it was before the crash. Put to new weddings up on the main site.
These two weddings are Sample Gallery 3 and 4.
Sample Gallery 3 is a Thai Wedding at the Sukhothai Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Nice couple, and really nice venue for a wedding.
Sample Gallery 4 was my fateful “measles wedding”. That’s right, I shot that wedding while I was coming down with the measles. I had a 102 fever but hadn’t yet developed spots and had been misdiagnosed in a Thai hospital
This was a Samui Wedding at Rocky’s Resort (a popular Samui Destination Wedding location). The bride and groom opted for the western wedding option. Rocky’s also does a Thai style wedding featured in another sample gallery.
Hey all,
Here’s a wedding from the Amari Patong in Phuket. The venue is really nice. They have this great jetty where the ceremony takes place. Staff was attentive and the services offered seemed top-notch. No idea on pricing, but the proximity to Patong coupled with the relative seclusion from Patong could make this a great venue option.
The couple was great. He’s Canadian/American and she’s from Australia. Jeremy met Michelle while in the navy, stationed in AU. If I remember correctly they didn’t see each other for almost 6 months prior to the wedding due to getting life stuff sorted out. Can’t imagine planning a wedding in another country apart like that, but they made it and were more than excited to celebrate on the day.
